That is one way to keep an expensive engine from flooding.
It’s a shame that they had to throw it back-they’re over limit!
Yeah, the Jaws Theme just doesn’t have the same effect when played on a truck horn.
Toot-Toot, Toot-Toot, Toot-Toot…
The sign says College Dr. What do you think the odds are that this is a frat house?
Real picture from Katrina.
That’s thinking ahead, there. Every part that could get wrecked by the water is raised out of it.
You apparently are unaware that the rear end has brakes, axles and a differential.
Not unaware, but if a pickup truck could lose those from being wet and muddy, they’d wear out too fast. Brakes, axles and differentials are a lot easier to clean mud out of, oil and reassemble than an engine block.
True. Still, I’d hate to be the one to remove the bolts on the differential and be subjected to the smell of what seeped inside. Brakes wouldn’t be too bad to swap out after taking the wheels off and cleaning things.
Your damn right!
My Bronco is hell for stout and if mud and water could hurt those things she’d be dead years ago.
Rather the differentials and whatnot over the engine. <.<
Smart that they found a way to keep the engine from being flooded.
Stupid that they want to eat fish marinating in axle grease.
Axle grease: not the worst thing found in urban flood water.
Actually a very smart move. They knew the water was rising, get the engine and cab out of the water’s harming way.
I’d be worried about the vent in the transmission though….
Oil change time come break up.
You’re gonna need a bigger porch.
What you are actually seeing is not a flood at all. This is what happens when absolute hicks move into a new community. As you can tell, they brought their old truck along. Then, Billy Bob told Uncle Skeeter “Heya, wouldn’t be nice if we had our old fishing hole back?”
Leading you to the picture you see.
hmmm… Venice??
theres a reason why rednecks and water don’t mix
“We’re gonna need a bigger porch!”
