Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, That Will Buff Outers! If you’re anything like me, you celebrate this fine, Irish holiday by doing three things (and usually nothing else): Drinkin’, wearin’ green, and more drinkin’. It’s just not people that like to celebrate, though. Vehicles get into the holiday spirit, too!

Drinkin’: The Budmobile
Taking recycling to a whole new level…

Wearin’ Green: They See Me Growin’, They Hatin’
I say we still pinch him, even though he’s wearing green. Look at him. He’s begging for it.

And More Drinkin’: Behold The Keggercycle!
May not be the smoothest ride, but its finish is as smooth as they come.

Hmmmm…Looking at that last pic, I suddenly have an urge to make an obscure dialog reference to a video game by Nintendo about a anthropomorphic animal pilots in star fighters

About that beer recycling project, are they going to make a call for volunteers before starting the next one?

It made me want a cold Rolling Rock…

    • Carlo says:

Funny you should mention Rolling Rock.
I was thinking of that beer after seeing the number 33 on the Keggercycle.

      • Anna Rexia says:

Oh, shit. Keggercycle. I thought it was Kegelcycle. Next time I’ll use the handlebars to hold onto. And a leather seat. Damned splinters.

  5. tahrey says:

What, no Guinness or Murphy’s? Just sweet, weak ass American lager? Oh dear.

(Do actually like an occasional Bud or RR when the aim is more refreshment or relaxation, but I wouldn’t try to get drunk with it)

  6. DrPluton says:

The third picture looks like the alcoholic version of the Batpod from The Dark Knight.

  7. Russell Molaxer says:

I’ve actually seen that very Keggercycle in action! It lives here in Portland, Oregon, and competed in the adult soapbox derby last august (did not win).

  8. J.J. says:

That last one gives a whole new meaning to the term “Barrel Roll”.

  9. teacherx says:

Bilbo Baggins would be proud!!! The original “Barrel Rider”

  10. Picture A: This is what all that aluminum could have been used for.

Picture B: The new hybrid model is made from environmentally friendly materials, runs on CO2, and produces only water and Oxygen.

Picture C: This bike runs on ethanol!

  11. Magical Tophat says:

YES! THE KEGGERCYCLE! I saw that at the Adult Soapbox Derby as well, it was a great. The Keggercycle was sooo sloooow though.
Nice to see a fellow Portlander on here.
