Actually, if you check at 4:20, you can see he has his papers on his right hand so he prolly threw them in the car before running back.

Considering what they did didn’t endanger anyone, and that state patrolmen never do anything that helps society, you’re probably in a vocal minority. Speeding doesn’t kill. Drinking and driving does. If you think otherwise you should read more.

Around here if you see a traffic stop on the right shoulder you slow down and pull into the left lane. This is for the cop’s safety.
I am not a cop. I don’t get along particularly well with cops. But I do realize that they are human beings who do not deserve to have their lives endangered for a laugh.
Speeding right past that cop with only a few feet between them was incredibly dangerous, stupid, not funny, and I kinda hope the the video cuts off where it did is because that grinning prick got hauled out of the Vette and had his face smeared all over the shoulder.
If you think this is funny, grow the hell up.
I actually had to track the full video down just to see the result… The vette driver ends up getting a ticket for reckless driving, and the cop tells him he was driving with his head up his ass, but sends him on his way. He comments later that it’s about a $220 ticket, and far from the first he’s gotten.
While I wouldn’t say speeding in general endangers other drivers, the stuff these morons pull off certainly does.
It will bother all of you if you are waiting for a cop (for whatever reason) and he’s tied up with pinhead douchebags like these wasters.
I highly doubt that ‘First to respond to rape/murder/burglary/other life altering event’ will be highway patrol. They’re ticket mongers, all they do is govern high-volume roadways.
Unless of course, your life altering event proves to be a severe car crash from some douche passing you on the shoulder, over correcting and clipping you into a high speed spin. In that case, I’d be disturbed. But, he’d also lose the game.
Not every state has “Highway Patrol”.
In some locales the State Police cover everything, so “First to respond to rape/murder/burglary/other life altering event” would be the same cops who have to chase down these fucktards.

And in the video, it’s indeterminable exactly how close to the officer the Corvette passed. I agree that passing while close enough to hit him with an open door would be dangerous and irresponsible, the fact is you don’t know that he wasn’t riding the dotted line as he passed, or even in the left lane. There was little traffic between the Corvette and the cop during the last cut scene from inside the ‘Vette.
