That´s because germany made the 3rd place in the soccer world championship. So everybody drove around with a german flag…
More ironic I think. And yes, when you are flying your country’s flag to show a bit of patriotic pride, or more likely a bit of World Cup enthusiasm for your nation’s team, yes it is ironic that you would do so on a foreign car, when the foreign country in question is an archrival and your own country makes smokin hot cars, too.
But Lamborgini is primarily German now. Its mostly Audi tech on them, with the odd bit the Italians are allowed to bodge on (like the non working fuel filler release on Top Gear)
Not really all that Ironic. A lot of people have foreign made cars. I’m not going to go out and buy a Chrysler or a Ford so that I can fly the American flag on the back window.
What about the countries without car companies? Should the Dutch walk?
Actually, the Dutch have a company called Spyker, they make pretty nice cars.

Actually Lamborghinis are more german than italian nowadays.
The point is, he found a way to carry his flag like noone else. (And found the sense of wing-doors, too.)
